Amador County Community Resources
The Amador County "Foster Kinship Care Education Program" provides training, support, resources and referrals for foster parents, relative caregivers and others caring for children in out-of-home placements. Our classes cover the mandated topics required by the "State of California Community Care Licensing". We offer approximately two classes a month. Upon completion of the class each participant receives a certificate.
We have a foster parent resource lending library with many books, videos, magazines and forms related to foster / kinship care and child development in general.

We offer an "Independent Living Skills Program", for foster youth.

When you enroll a foster child in a program that follows a income guideline, the program is to use the child's income, not the foster parents.
