Water Safety Class
This Water Safety class is strictly a water safety and not an in-water rescuing class. A person taking this class also needs to be certified in CPR and First Aid and be able to swim. (Classes meet California title 22 foster care requirements and child daycare requirements). It is important to know that you should never, not even for a minute leave a child unattended in or near water. When children are swimming an adult should be in the water with the children, watching from the shore or pool side is not safe, it only takes 20 seconds for a child to drown.
