About Us
Becoming a Foster or an adoptive parent is very exciting, quite rewarding and carries with it a lot of responsibility for the entire family.
Folsom Lake College and the Department of Social Services provides training to foster parents, kinship parents, adoptive parents, social workers and others caring for children in out-of-home placements.
Our training is offered in two counties, Foster Parent Training Amador County   and El Dorado County Training.
Our training meets all state mandated requirements for licensed foster homes.
Attendees are presented with a "Certificate of Participation", per class.
Once a participant has met their mandated hours of training, they are presented with a "Pre or Post-Placement Certificate", documenting the number of hours completed.
